A New Era
To everyone who will read this message in the upcoming weeks, months, even years, this day marks the revival of an ancient legend. However, we are not bringing this back under the same name. That name has been long forgotten and does not carry the weight of our new ambitions. No, today we are InHouse Gaming.
Why?
The question is vague and I will pick it apart to answer every detail.
Now comes the immediate next question:
How?
I have had the experience of leading clans, guilds, teams, and more over the years. The organization of DrK kicked off in the sense of being known through many areas of the web at various times, but it never got the jump start to become an everlasting entity on the web. Through past experience and time contemplating I have come to realize a few ways to make such a dream a reality. These avenues to success have many shared characteristics.
It is important to note that the foundation for DrK many years ago is the base for today's IHG. That is DrK was a community and a group effort. As time passed and things in my personal life become hazy I had less and less time to devote to the project. For the entire time up to that point I had been babysitting and nurturing my project. It was very, very close to being able to walk alone on its feet without my assistance, however that point never actually came. That is where the first important aspect comes in: this is a community/group effort. I alone cannot make it stand. I can pour all the energy I have into making it function, but in the end the gears that make it churn and rumble are the people associated with its very existence. I am now trying to recreate this experience from many years ago on the belief I have some close friends that will back me up on my project and that I have more resources than I did during the time of DrK.
An idea to begin our journey:
Conclusion
This day marks the beginning of a new legacy. Where we end up is our own responsibility. Everything and anything we do with our time will not be time wasted, but our choices and effort exerted will pave the way for what we strive for. If I am destined to run a small group of friends, own a vent for us to chat in, and play games casually for the rest of my life, so be it. If it just so happens I am destined to run an organization that incorporates teams and players from all the games on the web, I will gladly welcome it with open arms.

That name has been long forgotten and does not carry the weight of our new ambitions. No, today we are InHouse Gaming.

- Why did we choose the old DrK forums? The reasoning behind it is because here lie the memories of many of our core community members of the past, and some of the present. We can easily archive the threads and with some effort we have gotten our own domain name to give us a more unique appeal.
- Why are we back? Kowz, the person writing this, also known as the leader of DrK and IHG, has recently had a big portion of his time window opened up. With this new opportunity he aims to get better at SC2, form a semi-hardcore team and see if any potential lies dormant in him or his friends. Give or take the results of that endeavor, he has some new resources and assets to help pick up this old dream of creating a gaming organization.
- Why bother? Time and time again, the internet is host to an assortment of projects to many people for many reasons. This is one of those projects, but it is not only for the sole satisfaction of success, but for a greater purpose. I am unfortunately a born leader. I say unfortunately because it has become my burden to lead the path for the world I want. One of the things I wish to have has a group of friends, in person and online, that are the core of a larger community. A community where everyone can mingle, make new friends, play new games, and experience new joys from the online world.

An idea to begin our journey:
- Begin with one game. Find ourselves a lofty place to relax and look around. Take in the surrounding and go from there. This place is Starcraft 2. We can truly begin to get our name out through SC2 by recruiting people for a team, streaming as we progress, and competing in tournaments.
- Use our resources at hand to branch out. Many people I know, as well as I, have experience with several games and know people from those games. These people have a chance to be interested in the idea of a community of gamers, to be the pioneers of a new beginning for said community. As we begin to make our place in the SC2 universe we might pick up individuals with influence in other games as well. If the influence never arrives we can make our own by venturing off our safe SC2 island once we get that section situated.
- Reach out to people already influencing their peers all over the corners of the web. Find some new and upcoming individuals and offer them a chance at success. One particular area of interest is finding people who will do everything in their power to get access into the Diablo 3 beta and teach them how to stream, give them the tools to do it, and help them refine the practice. All we ask in return is some support and promotion.
Conclusion
