how do we know we arent insane, and the insane people arent sane?
the true definition of what sanity is, is the dominant thinking in society
its a perspective thing
what if the insane became more abundant then the sane? should we call ourselves insane and the insanes sane?
T/F?

Insanity is definitely a perspective thing. There is a BIG difference between 'colorful thinking' and insanity. Some people see things differently and others claim them as insane. Our society wants to find a reason for this, but the best thing they can do to these people is put them in a hospital and feed them meds.

Sanity in a nut shell is just thinking in sync with the common man that forms our society, the status quo thinking patterns.
If you were to look at it much more literally you are always sane due to it being a term being directly related to being in touch with reality. Our reality is what we perceive. If our perception changes that only means our reality changes. Saying someone is insane nowadays implies they are on a different thinking level where their reasoning and perceived world is abnormal to the status quo thinking patterns.
If you were to have a human being live in a remote situation with zero human contact and knows nothing about any form of society they could not tell if they were insane or not. They would have no basis to what "normal" is so they could not refer their thoughts to any other situation other than their own. They could claim some thinking processes are abnormal to their own, but since it would only be relative to them they could not tell if they were "insane" or not. Thus they could not tell if they were "insane" because it would only be a perception of reality from their standpoint. It is impossible to know you are "insane" unless you are told so from society, a friend, or a family member. There is a status quo on our thinking level that is expected, or hoped for you could say, and if you do not sit at this plane of thinking you are considered abnormal.
It is all relative. Our reality is always intact with us, but it may not always be the same. Humans often try to create a standing point in their perception of reality and always try to claim it is the reality and if you are not seeing things through that mindset then you are out of reality. If people see you out of that standpoint from their standpoint then they may claim you are 'insane'. It is impossible to prove because it is all relative, there is no solid figure to judge from other than the status quo set by society. Someone might be insane, but to them they could be the only sane person. It sounds dumb, but someone's reality can be impacted that way, it all depends if they believe what others say... I suppose.
