McMaster LAN Club is hosting its annual SC2 tournament on Feb 4th!
History: McMaster LAN Club (MLC) has run several tournaments at McMaster over the paste few years. Most recognizable has always been our Starcraft 2 community and we continue to enjoy giving back to you guys in a competitive manner. Our tournaments are run usually twice yearly, one each semester, and we branch out to other games such as DotA, DotA2, LoL, CS and many more...
When: February 4 2012
Registration 9:30 AM
Start 10:00 AM
Runs until Midnight
Location: McMaster University- Michale DeGroote Center for Learning (MDCL) Room 1102 in Hamilton Ontario
Those of you who go to McMaster know it as MDCL 1102
Cost: $10 dollar entry fee
Total Players: 50 Slots
Prizes:
Assuming we have a full tournament, 50 x 10 = $500
1st Place: 50% of Prize Pool ~$250
2nd: 30%: Prize Pool ~$150
3rd: 20% Prize Pool ~$100
Style:
-BYOC
-We can guarantee stable wireless will be available
-We HIGHLY recommend you have a wireless card, we cannot guarantee internet for every LAN connection based on the McMaster Internet Protocols do to restrictions imposed by McMaster University
Structure:
We will be using the following setup:
-Top fifty are seeded into single elimination until we get top 16
-Top 16 until top 2 will be best of 3 until we get to top 2
-Finals will be best of 5
-Map pool TBD
Rules:
-You must be present at the event to participate
-You must be on time for your games, if you are 5 minutes late, you will be disqualified
-The Administrators hold the right to adjust any aspect of the tournament as required to maintian all games being played in the proper amount of time.
