The TV Show, not crappy movie with jr Downey. Each episode is 1 hour and a half long, first season had 3, all of them were exciting and pretty much kill me on the intellectual level. A few days ago came out the first episode of season 2.. And it's the best single TV show episode I've ever seen. Screenwriter is a fucking genious, I'll have to rewatch it just to fully realise what was happening. Just wondering if anyone else here watched it? If not, damn, you should.

I haven't seen the TV show Sherlock, but if it's anything like the movie, I don't know if I want to see it. The movie kind of turned me off the Sherlock Holmes entirely. I just recently saw the second installment and my subjective opinion is that it's trash. Many fans may not think the same as me, but as an outsider I can't help but think that this is how the books and the shows have the same contrived content in them.

First I watched the TV Show and then I saw 'Sherlock Holmes' movie, and it felt SO horribly wrong, the script wasn't complex enough and there were exaggerated to hell action scenes, plus Jr Downey is too sexy to play an alienated genious.
To answer your question: it's many times better. Movie went for easy money, tv show actually portrayed the character to be very convincing. Just try it, after one episode you should know whether you feel it or not.

British TV series, always great. Always too short. Luther is another great one

First season got me interested, even though characters put me off and I felt disgusted I still enjoyed the supernatural part. But season 2 went full retard plotwise and I just couldn't bother anymore.
Oh and the last episode of Sherlock's season 2 came out.. This is going to be so awesome and sad, to wait a year or more for the next one q.q

The last episode blew my mind. It was a genious, emotional rolleycoaster.
Thanks to my friend I now understand everything that happened.. Which blew my mind again..

Well first off I want to start by thanking Velore for introducing me to the show. After reading a few comments here about it I decided to give it a try and boy was I hooked. The first season was definitely very clever and well made and it got me wanting more. I just watched the first episode of the second season and I am speechless. As was said before here by others, the screenwriters are absolutely brilliant and were able to execute the episode magnificently. I can't wait to finish this season (so no spoilers plz ). Sherlock has definitely become one of my favorite shows.
