Does IHG have an Aion or RIFT guild, official or unofficial? I was thinking of getting back into one of these after exams, but I really only enjoy them with a guild...
Also, are there any Dragon Nest players as well?

I'll consider starting Rift if we have guild there.

I am pretty sure I am the only person here who had a level 50 on Rift. It is a really fun game but someone like Kowz will never like it because he is a WoW babby.

I don't remember my exact level, but I was around 25 I think. It's super fun, but I didn't have a guild to play with, so I didn't really get into that MMO spirit. If there was I guild I could join I'm sure the fun times would be even greater.

We played Aion during its first month of release. Good times, but I don't think we are ever going back to it.

That's too bad. I really enjoy MMOs, but I dont have many friends that want to pay, and I never seem to have anyone to play with. And playing with friends is what's the best in an MMO

Our big focus though is DotA2 I actually played Aion for several months and have a lvl 43 temp. I remember running the Firetemple for the Kromede drops. I was with a pretty fun guild so it was entertaining, but then they all just kind of stopped, and I was forever alone.

Kowz how would you know if Rift is inferior to Aion when you have never played it? Rift is fucking cool and world invasions make the game very fun. The story is very well written too and the main Defiant characters are badasses.

Aion is a grindfest. It was the funniest MMO I've played in the range of levels 1-25, but after that everything goes to hell. I did Fire Temple like 40 times for the gold tome. And the endgame set from quests requieres you to kill about 70 mobs scattered all over zone, each time you do it you get a medal and you need 20 or 25 medals for ONE piece of armor, the rest are much easier to get but still, I can't imagine how someone would enjoy doing that.
RIFT felt like WAR and WoW mixed together. It was quite fun, but it didn't convince me enough to pay for it, maybe if I saw the later content that would change. Oh well, GW2 comes soon..
If you guys don't feel like paying for playing a good MMO, I'd suggest vanilla WoW. There's this new server on 1.12.1 version without any expansions with beautifully scripted end-game raids, an instant 49 level and an experience rate of player's personal choice between x1 to x5. Would be fun to do as a guild and let's face it, it is illegal but Blizzard is being a bitch and it's the only way to feel the nostalgia of a BWL/MC/ZG/Naxx/Onyxia raids. And I can only imagine it would be lots of fun if we played there as a group!

I am pretty sure I am the only person here who had a level 50 on Rift. It is a really fun game but someone like Kowz will never like it because he is a WoW babby. I was in a top guild for Rift on release, we hit all of the server firsts (even after having to restart on a new server after getting lvl 30 the first time due to the server being too full) That was soul destroying. Staying up with no sleep pushing for server firsts then having to start all over again :/ Rift levelling was pretty gay. Endless hours grinding on the guys that summoned skeletons endlessly and on the elites in the desert area. We almost hit world first on the first world boss too (forget his name). We deferred the raid for a day and someone did it before us Rift was a great game but it suffered from a lot of grinding (perhaps not compared to say, Aion, on release - which was god awful - but in that I really dont want to grind the same t1.5 dungeon over and over just so i can do it again on t2 so i can start raiding. I did that in WoW back in the day, and have no interest to again. And the populations not being that large meant that there werent very many good guilds around. I liked Rift, but it was too similar to say WoW, and had to many negatives that ifi wanted to pay a subscription fee for an extended period of time, I'd pay for WoW. And yet with WoW, i always paid for my sub fee with in game gold so even that was 'b2p' for me.

I didn't know you could pay with in game gold, unless people were selling time cards for ig gold. Can you really do that?

I didn't know you could pay with in game gold, unless people were selling time cards for ig gold. Can you really do that? Not from blizzard, no. From the chinese. The chinese gold sellers need to make countless new accoutns to bot on etc. They are going to make these regardless. So they sell Recruit a friend (the month game time) cheap. Its like a way of lowering overhead costs for them. Dem chinese be smart.

I wish I could do that. Not gold farm, but figure out where to buy those. Though I don't have too much in game gold anyways in WoW.

Unfortunately, I haven't played either games... I always wanted to try both though.
